Last 2 years have been difficult for most business – big and small. The pandemic has left us with a market environment that experts describe with the army term VUCA: volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous. To be honest, it has also been a very tough ride for employees. Forced changes in the last 2 years has resulted in millions of people reconsidering their life and their priorities. I am not going to talk about the great resignation or great reshuffle here, I have done other videos on these important topics, but these phenomenons are keeping the leaders awake at night. I will say though, the macro economics are definitely making things worse– you may already be feeling the pinch of inflation that is spreading like wildfire across major economies. We are indeed in a VUCA market and companies need to rapidly adapt and evolve to become more human centric than ever to not only keep ticking ahead of competition but to survive!

Why human centric? Well People are undoubtedly the biggest asset of any company and businesses will need to continue attracting and retaining top talented more than ever. But retaining talent isn’t enough, companies will need to ensure they are doing all they can to enable peak performance from their talent. For this, Companies will need to understand the changing preferences and drifting sentiments of their employees. Since employees today are both more socially conscious, informed and mobile than ever, keeping them inspired and engaged is a real opportunity and the true need of the hour.
