[COSP Side Event] Climate and crisis: Disability-inclusive resilience in cities

Persons with disabilities among the most affected by climate and crisis – inclusive solutions that bridge innovative thinking are needed.

At this digital side event of COSP15 (the 15th session of the Conference of States Parties to the CRPD) Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDI Hub) are joined by panellists World Blind Union, National Institute of Urban Affairs (India) and RISE to explore the latest work on disability-inclusive resilience in cities.

The impacts of climate and crises are continuing to converge in cities with evidence showing persons with disabilities among the most affected. Rapidly changing environments and informal settlements in cities require inclusive solutions that bridge innovative thinking across humanitarian responses and sustainable urban development – to build long-term resilience.
