In the University of Washington’s department of Human Centered Design & Engineering, students and faculty work together in Directed Research Groups to address the latest topics in human-centered research and design.
Led by individual faculty members or doctoral students, Directed Research Groups review relevant literature, pose research questions, and design and conduct user studies. Findings are often prepared in papers either for submission to professional journals or for presentation at professional conferences.
The structure and content of Directed Research Groups varies widely based on the research topic. Learn about currently offered Directed Research Groups at http://hcde.uw.edu/research/directed.
