Expanding financial inclusion to rural women is the backbone of MicroLead’s mission. But how can financial institutions know that the products they design to increase inclusion are actually wanted and needed by target clients?
The Human-centered Design (HCD) process is one method for getting a clear understanding of what clients actually want. At MicroLead’s 2017 Annual Peer Learning Workshop in March in Dar es Salaam, participants attended a workshop and got to practice the fundamentals of human centered design using a rapid-prototyping exercise. Watch the video below to get a better understanding of the benefits of the process, and be sure to check out this interview with Amos Odero about how his team applied HCD during the workshop.
