Thursday, April 28, 2022, 9:00 – 10:00am EDT
Inequitable distribution of money, power, and resources – influenced by a broad range of policy choices and social stratifiers – has always impacted health care and health outcomes. In recent years, USAID and others have focused on the role of health care workforce in mitigating the effect of social determinants of health for improved quality of care and equity in health.

During this webinar, we will discuss integrating social determinants of health approaches in health workforce education and practice. Speakers from Nepal and Cote d’Ivoire share their experience leading large-scale programmatic changes that better prepare and support health workers to address social determinants of health as they train and work in their communities.
